'Speed Dating'

London Wed 1st May

The event set out in a ‘speed dating’ format will play host to local businesses struggling to recruit software developers with the opportunity to meet 12 pre-selected and trained web developer apprentices in 6 minute interviews before reviewing if candidates are suitable for the business.

Reserve your place with the link below.

For the past few weeks these young people have been at our code bootcamp, learning or refining their skills. All are competent in semantic, accessible, HTML and CSS. All have demonstrable skills in fundamental vanilla JavaScript and some have additional experience with php, python and other languages too.

The city area has an enormous, untapped pool of talent in the surrounding area. Our job is to identify and cultivate that talent to secure the future and support local businesses to grow using local talent. We are determined to make technical apprenticeships or SMEs, Scale-ups and Start-ups as well as levy paying enterprises. Every person who passes through our selection process has what it takes to become an asset to your team and deliver value within weeks.

To secure the talent pipeline for our industry in this country we need to take responsibility for it. As developers, as business owners and as community leaders we all have a duty to improve knowledge share and diversity within teams and across the industry as a whole.

We need to make apprenticeships work for employers so this selection process and training is delivered at no cost and with no commitment required.
